I have to add my voice here. From a participant perspective, I have to say this was an awesome experience. Despite some major user error, I too went home with a working board. Everyone went way above and beyond to help (including Ward with his extensive rework skill).
THANKS!
Bob

Scott, Monty, and Jim were great volunteers to work with. They did a lot of behind the scenes work preparing for the build party. They provided most of the equipment, a lot of supplies, plus their time and expertise to make the build party itself a success.
The members of Dorkbotpdx that came to the build party also played no small part in making the day successful and less stressful than it could have been. You guys were patient and respectful of each other and the volunteers, even when things got blocked up or went less than 100% smooth. I know a lot of you hadn't worked with SMT before, but everyone did great with very little instruction.
29 out of 30 boards went home working.
I'm making a note here:
HUGE SUCCESS
Greg
