PATRIOT ACT is like a "Schoolhouse Rock" for angry grown-ups.
In just under an hour, performance artists Silver and Shahadi
explain how the law impacts the civil liberties of every American
using text from the actual act, a box of old LPs and some jet black humor.

The Lovely and Talented Miss Toni Silver is a Jewish Lesbian raconteur
with rapier wit and Saint Joe Shahadi is a Lebanese-American Catholic boy/anarchist.
"Patriot Act" premiered in June 2004 at OneArmRed in DUMBO.
Miss Toni and Saint Joe and have entertained audiences with their biting
political satire since 2000, performing at venues such as, HERE,
The Culture Project @ 45 Bleecker, Ohio Theatre, Chashama,
manhattantheatresource and Grove Street Playhouse.
For their solo work,
The Philadelphia Weekly called Joe "masterful, brutish, and graceful"
Wiley Press has called Toni "captivating, original, funny, (and) in-your-face honest."
