Since our local chapter is dormant, a few months ago I decided to take 
a trip up to the dork mothership to see how things are done there.

I've gone to the last 2 NYC meetings and they were interesting, informative, 
and well attended.  It's exciting to see that there is a sizable group of people 
(at least in New York) interested in electrical technology and the arts. 

If you get a chance, check out one of their meetings - first wednesday of every month. 

Which brings me to my second announcement:
