I am the casting director for the series MADE on MTV. We are basically a
make your wish come true program where we follow high school students
that have a goal or dream they want to achieve. Once we find the right
student, we pair them up with a coach that they train with up until a
tryout, audition, game,- whatever it is that proves they've been "made"
into what they set out to be. We've been on the air for the past 4
years, have received much critical acclaim and recently received a
daytime Emmy.

For this upcoming season, we would are doing an episode about a girl who
wants to join the engineering club/Robotics Club at her high

school and prove she is not a pink obsessed, ditz but a hard working
scientist. Her school, Harriton HS, has a very competitive engineering
club and it will be challenging for her to do something of this nature.

We are now looking for a Robotics Coach who would want to work on the
show. Ideally we'd like someone who is 20's'30's, a graduate student or
an instructor, who is super dynamic, is perhaps regarded as a "mad
scientist", has a big personality and can work with this girl to achieve
their goal This would most likely entail meeting with her a few days
each week, teaching her basic engineering principals, help her build a
robot and hopefully help her come up with a project so she can get into
her high school's TSA club. The meetings are not full days, but
certainly as much time as this coach can spend.

The shooting for the episode would begin around late August and go until
the beginning of October. There is a $2500 stipend for

the coach. It's an incredible opportunity for someone who wants
exposure, wants to reach MTV viewers and would like the publicity of

being on MADE. It's also a great platform for making robotics exciting
for teenagers, and especially girls!!!

I am writing to see if you might know of someone who might be good for
this? We are meeting with people this Thursday at Drexel University and
possibly meeting with more people next week. IF you have anyone who
would like to meet with us I am more than happy to answer any questions
you might have, and also fill you in on what the production would entail.

Thanks again for considering our request. I can be reached at the number
below.
