Aaron, thank you!  Glad you enjoyed the event - and your eyes did not
deceive you:  Patrick and Christopher O'Dowd did, indeed have a railgun.

I'm most certainly planning on posting pictures (from Tesla Night, and
from previous meetings and events) as soon as Otis, our tireless
webmaster, and I have had a chance to get the gallery side of the site
together - which is a priority for us right now.  We have some
tremendous images from previous dorkbots; can't wait to see the shots
from last night!

As soon as I have an idea of timing for next year's event I'll let
people know - it'd be great to give Matt Stiger a run for his 7' sparks
;].

I don't know how we did in terms of donations on the door last night
yet, but everyone's generosity is hugely appreciated.  The funds will
help cover the out-of-town speakers' travel costs, rental for the a/v
setup etc..  Anything left over will be going to CoCA, who give us space
for free every month despite being totally strapped for cash themselves.

Just wanted to put this out there:  A big thanks to
all who put Tesla Night together.  I'm a noob here, so
I don't know many names, but it was well worth the
suggested donation.  Well worth it.  I had a blast. 
The speakers were great and the show-and-tell was
great too; there were a number of working Tesla coils,
voltage multipliers, Jacob's ladders, plasma globes,
...I think somebody even had a small railgun.

Now I just need to hurry up and get my coil built so I
can "give back" next year :D
