[dorkbotsea-blabber] Dorkbot creativity for Halloween?

 Hello Dorks!

I'm part of a group called Hive-Mind and each year we throw a Halloween
party that's a great venue for expressing your creativity for a good cause.
This year it will be at the Youngstown Cultural Arts Center, and the
proceeds raised go to Room to Read and the Youngstown Cultural Arts Center,
both non-profits that support disadvantaged youth:

The theme for the party is "Grease Frightening!  Halloween 2006 at RideHell
High".  Imagine your worst high school nightmares in a setting that crosses
Grease with horror films like Carey or Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

My question for you:  how might you invoke your dork creativity for such an
event?  If you're interested, we're having a brainstorming/planning/movie
night this Sunday at my house.  Brainstorming at 6 (I'm ordering pizza and
beer), and movie at 8:00.

 WHAT:  Hive-Mind Brainstorming/planning/movie night.  (Carey probably)
WHEN:  6:00 for brainstorming, 8:00 for movie.  Sunday, October 8th

   - *High School Auditorium (performances):*

    - Performance stage, Visual VJ, Food area, bar, catwalk for fashion
      show, live painter

 *High School Gym (DJ):*

   - Visuals VJ, martian robot DJ stand
   - Decoration:  Flame!  You're going to burn forever!
   - Dodgeball hell (other gym games, spit ball fights)
   - Fire garden
   - Mobiles (easy to hang and take down)
   - OR:  decorate like prom gone crazy, balloon arc



*Booze it up in Faculty Lounge (chill, bar, downtempo):*

   - Couches, rugs, aquarium with creepy animals

*Inspiration Point (chill):*

   - Cars…? Convertible?

*Detention Hall:*

   - School banners
   - Creepy things in lockers
   - Lighting on walls
   - needs seating



*Smoking in the parking lot:*

   - Smoking, carports
   - Ballpit
   - Firepod
   - high school kegger, keg?



*Interactive projects throughout:*

   - Box office school counselor gives you advice/etc. "counsels" you
   - SMS game
   - Game based on school roles/cliques: nerd, bully, dean, jock,
   faculty, deans, teachers, foreign exchange student
   - Worst nightmares: debate in underwear, pimples, ostracized
   - Report cards, run around getting graded
   - School committees: Yearbook, chess club
