Hey Dorkbots!  This event is one of my big "projects" each year, a halloween
dance party where we also show off a lot of decorating/art.  It's a really
fun party and all the money raised goes to help build schools for kids in SE
Asia, and help the Youngstown Cultural Arts Center.

I wanted to invite you all to come, but also to participate!  A few of you
helped with decorating/setup/takedown last year and we had a few cool art
projects.  I thought the theme (X-men) might particularly appeal to y'all,
so if you want to get involved let me know!  There's always plenty of room
for projects/installations, and we always can use another hand in
settingup/cleanup.

Hello Mutants!

It's been 13 years since you left the halls of Xavier's Institute for Mutant
Youngsters, the academy of the X-men.  Now it's time to return on Sat Oct
27th and find out how your classmates turned out: heros, villains or regular
mutant freaks.

You'll register at the Mutant Registration Photo Booth and dance to the
beats of Seattle's finest DJ's and live bands in the Disco Cerebro and the
Mutant Drop Out Rooms. Worn out? Enjoy quality liquor and beer in the Bub
Pub and the Danger Room or relax and shed your powers in the Savage Land
Chill Room. Mutants will be offered battle training, humans can join the
Human Resistance Movement, and everyone can jump into the story in the Giant
Comic Strip. Kapow!

All profits will be split between Room to Read <http://www.roomtoread.org/>,
building schools, providing scholarships and more for girls in Nepal, Laos,
and other countries, and Youngstown <http://youngstownarts.org/>, providing
arts education to underprivileged youth and a home for arts education and
environmental organizations.
