A few folks from dorkbot usually get involved with this, so i'd like to
invite you all to join...it's going to be the 14th year we've thrown this
party!  It's a lot of fun, and at this point we've raised enough $$ for
something like three schools in south east asia.  hee.

Hey y'all!
Well Hive-Mind Halloween is coming up, and it's time to start planning how
we are going to take over people's senses this year with cool decorations,
interactive projects, and deviant experiences!

If you are interested in participating on the creative/visuals/decoration
teams this year, please join us for a creative planning meeting at 7pm, this
Monday, at the GHOOB: 1216 E John Street.

We are looking for :  creative leads for rooms/projects/interactive
experiences, support for making decorations, setup and take down, and just
about anything else you could possibly imagine would be fun to do for the
party.  This party is *your* canvas on which to paint your ideas.  Please
join us!  If there's a group of you, and you are interested in taking over a
room or some such thing, let me know what you have in mind.

If you can't make the meeting, but want to participate, please tell me what
you have in mind by Monday so we can incorporate into our planning.

(What is hive-mind halloween, you might ask?  This party has been growing
and evolving for 13 years, with over a 1000 people coming last year at the
Youngstown Cultural Arts Center.  It's an unusual, creative mix of artists,
geeks, burners, DJs, whathaveyou, who throw in their efforts to throw a
great party.  All money raised by the event goes to support non-profit,
youth advocacy groups including Youngstown itself and Room-to-Read, building
schools in Southeast Asia.)

Our motto:  Throw a great party, and make the world a better place at the
same time!

Our other motto:  It's a "hive-mind" party, where the whole is a much
greater emergent creature than the sum of its parts.
