An informal lab for new media artists to meet, collaborate, share new
works and experiment together. People interested in new media art
and what 911 has to offer are also welcome. Open Lab is
intentionally unstructured so that it can be modified to the ideas of
the attendants each week. It is also a great opportunity for
students at 911 taking Arduino or other classes to have additional
workshop time.

The Open Lab gives access to 911’s workshop room as well as available
equipment such as cameras and video projectors. Artists working in
electronic and digital media are encouraged to bring their own
equipment and projects for discussion and experimentation. Open
Source, collaborative and hactivism focused projects, tools and
topics are highly encouraged.

Membership is not required for attendance but is strongly recommended
if you plan to regularly utilize the lab. Memberships can be gained
through volunteer hours.

Any questions or suggestions about Open Lab can be directed to Joseph
Gray (josephgray at grauwald.com)
