entered our GEK gasified honda accord, which, not to shock you,<br>
finally works (and mostly as originally intended). the locals<br>
finished it last week while i was away and took it for a cruise<br>
through west oakland, running on eucalyptus chips. reports are that<br>
no shots were fired. and smiles of disbelief once again were seen on<br>

easy steps" sort of thing. well, it is probably the longest and most<br>
complicated instructable ever written, if you count all the<br>

they are beating us in the vote, but we are beating them in the<br>
number of views, 2,000:10,000. we somehow got gizmododed and<br>
treehuggered yesterday and clicking went nuts. but jon and krysten<br>
have better engaged the friend voting network. that, and their entry<br>
actually looks nice.<br>

but ignoring nepotism, my favorite is actually the "how to make a<br>
plasma cutter out of junk" instructable. this one is actually useful,<br>
unlike either jon/krysten or ours. also, it is a tool.<br>

and don't vote or jon/krysten. they certainly don't need anymore<br>
tools. i was in their shop last week and they are up to the rafters<br>
in tools. amazing really. the best was 3 giant metal working hammers<br>
and a vertical marvel cut off saw. that and every other metal working<br>
tool imaginable, all perfectly set up, labeled, oiled and copied in<br>
triplacate. you will never touch them.<br>

now us on the other hand, we are short of tools, and we are a mess.<br>
not inconsequently, from all the tools most of you have borrowed,<br>
broken, lost, stolen or otherwise acquired and disappeared out of the<br>
yard over the years. so can we propose a compensatory gesture? you<br>
vote for us and we offer general amnesty for previous tool violations?<br>
we get a bunch of new tools and you return to a clean slate.<br>
somewhat like parking ticket amnesty. or immigration.<br>
