Message-ID: Hi Dorkbot folks... My friend has asked me to repost this, she still has two TVs and two CRT monitors that she'd like to get rid of. Instead of just donating them to Goodwill or the Salvation Army or something (not that there's anything wrong with that) she was wondering if there was anyone around that could put them to good use in some sort of cool electronic art project. Here's what she has... 27" RCA tube TV - new condition barely used 13" sony tube TV - decent condition, rarely used - primarily served as a preveiw monitor for animation 17" hitachi CRT monitor - green gun is dying but it still displays 17" CRT monitor - toasted but still turns on. They've GOT TO GO! She's heading to Goodwill on Thursday. You snooze, you lose! If you're interested in any or all of these items, contact her. Her name's Malinda, and her email address is malinda@animegirlie.com . Thanks all! The idea is to take our classic synth soldering workshop and turn it into a musical with Max and John from the band ing. We?re doing this workshop so we can work some ideas out with Max and John, who may occasionally be performing, but mostly will be taking the class along with you to get an idea of how they can develop a music show to accompany it. We?re reducing the price to the actual cost of the parts, and in return we want your ideas and feedback (and patience). You?ll also receive instruction on basic electronics and how to solder, build a noisemaking doodad to take home, and hopefully have a lot of fun. This is a work-in-progress! Are you trying to use the typewriter as an output device as well? If you don't want to hassle with that you might consider an i-pac. see: http://blog.wdka.nl/crosslab-diy/2009/02/16/hacking-a-keyboard/ the guy that wrote that post, ended up using that cute pink flexible keyboard, as they sell them here on the market for 9 Euros. evo On Wed, Mar 18, 2009 at 4:24 PM, John Park wrote: > Thanks John.
