I mentioned during the workshop. He documents his work very well and he

By the way the 4040 chip is very similar to the 4520:

4040 - counts to 8 bits
4520 - counts to 4 bits, but has 2 counters

For most of Sebastian's circuits you can substitute the 4520 for the
4040 because you are only using the first few outputs to control the
4051 chip.
