[dorkbottac-announce] Dorkbot Tacoma will remain on hold a bit longer

Hi Everybody,

We are very sorry to do this, but we must delay reviving dorkbot Tacoma a
bit longer. We are hoping to find a venue that's available until later at
night, and perhaps someplace where you can get a drink or snack as well. It
would be ideal if they were going to be open in the evening anyway, so that
we don't have to trouble someone to come unlock things for us. If you have
ideas for places, please let us know.

Because of the difficulty of finding speakers & spaces during holiday
months, and then our own project schedules early next year, we expect to
bring dorkbot back in March.

We will be looking for speakers (artists, tech people, and others) and
performers (DJs, VJs, demonstrations, something else?) between now and then,
so if you are interested let us know and we will keep you posted on
schedules & venues when we get closer. You need not be doing both art &
technology (or really either) in order to speak. You need not have a
polished presentation. Just come and tell us a story. We want to bring
people from diverse backgrounds together in the hopes of inspiring creative
collaboration and brainstorming. If this sounds fun to you, and you have a
project (of any sort, realized or unrealized) you'd like to talk about, let
us know! We hope to have a mix of people and a mix of presentations, media,
etc. at each meeting, for your creative inspiration.
