Sorry folks - In my previous email, I sent the wrong file (with a list of
five-digit instead of six-digit numbers). Same request - just one less digit
per number.

Oops,

Joe

Subject: Do you have a few minutes to help on an art project via email?

Hi everyone,

(If you read just a little you'll see this is about art and is not spam for
spam's sake)

In recent years I've had to type six-digit sequences into the phone many,
many times. Activating software - long story.

As I did this, I noticed that some sequences struck me as being more
pleasant than others. And some were less pleasant than others. That is, I
would like some numbers and not like others. It's a gut reaction mainly but
some reasons that seem to affect my choices are:

- Nice pattern on the phone's keypad

- Have a nice visual pattern

- Have a rhythm when recited

- Similarity with a previous sequence/familiar

So now I want to do an art piece (or two or three) with this weird aesthetic
abstraction of Pretty numbers vs. Ugly numbers.

But I need your help. I've attached a list of 100, randomly-generated,
six-digit numbers.

Would you take a few minutes please, to rate them (based on your own gut
responses) with:

L (Like)

D (Dislike)

(.and then send the marked-up list back to me please?)

For example, if a number is 27352 and you happen to dislike it add a "D" to
the line, like:

27352D

If you like it, add an "L" to the line, like:

27352L

I find that sounding them out in my head, or saying them aloud helps.

I am serious. This isn't like a weird joke or anything. I do want the data.

I'd really appreciate the help. There is no reward other than participation.
No names will be used for any purpose.

Thanks,

Joe
