A FAQ is definitely in order. I should get one started, thanks.

It sounds like (as Phil mentions) that you may be using a global CLASSPATH on
your machine? That has gotten me into so much trouble in so many convoluted
ways, that I don't set one globally at all. I pass the CLASSPATH to the java
and javac commands as command line options. That way, Netscape and IE do not
get confused and are less likely to get into collision problems between
packages & classes downloaded from a server via an applet versus classes found
in a plug-in versus those found on your hard drive.

I would strongly encourage you to eliminate any global classpath, and to put
the JSyn classes back where the JSyn installer stuck 'em. It may sound like I
am trying to get you to fix something that's not broken, but there may be yet
another variation of these collisions waiting to bite you!

That being said, thanks a lot for checking out the piece (I like starting it
with very low probabilities and just letting it run), and for keeping up with
JMSL progress in general. The Scoring stuff is really cruising along, and I
look forward to hearing more from you about it as it develops. There will be
an applet up soon where you can input notes. Getting cool.

And I want to reiterate that a clear install page/FAQ is going to become a
priority, so thanks again for the feedback.
