[jmsl] Find out how many measures are on any particular line

Is there any way to find out how which measures are on a given line?   
I know that I could do some comparisons with staff.getDrawingAnchor(),  
but just was wondering if there was an easier way that I was  
overlooking.  (especially because this could get weird at very small  
zoom sizes)

I'm trying to position something below the staff, as close as possible  
without obstructing any notes.  The layoutManager seems to tell which  
measures are laid out, but not where.
