Hello Alberto

Thanks for the feedback. Currently (and this will change in a moment),
you are correct, you would have to extend JMSLMaxNotate yourself to give
it tighter interaction with Max.

However we will be releasing MaxScore momentarily, which is a Max object
that provides common music notation directly in the Max environment. No
Java programming is required. MaxScore supports a rich set of Max
messages that you will be able to use to provide the specifics you need.
Underneath it all is JMSL Score rendering to Max's LCD object. But all
the Java & JMSL is hidden under the hood; it just looks and behaves like
a Max object.

We will announce MaxScore on this list when it is available.

Thanks
Nick Didkovsky

I'm really excited with this potential capacity of max msp through jmsl, but it's a pity that for now the jms.maxnotate only implements the same issues as a normal midi recorder, it would be really nice to amke possible the other implicit musicshapes (noteheads, articulations, etc.) that the core of jmsl has.
