Hello. WildMagic game engine has been released as LGPL software.
http://www.geometrictools.com

I had three reasons why I found the site:
(1) The documentation makes good reading. He has written books too
but I don't have them.
(2) The system proves the usefulness of the scenegraph concept.
He is one of the authors of Netimmerse (now Gamebryo) engine,
and they had a paper on scenegraph based engine in IEEE CG&A.
(3) Oblivion uses NIF file format (N == Netimmerse) which embeds
the scenegraph. And Niftools is an open source library, viewer,
editor for the NIF format. Author of Niftools based the design more
or less on the Game Engine book advertised at the Geometric Tools
site. So, pick up Niftools as well for maximal learning experience.

PS. I have concluded that Mailman has a bug. I cannot turn the
Mailman to send a digest out daily. Many lists, including all
sourceforge lists, have the same bug. So, the digest is sent out
only when the max size limit is reached. An article may go out
after 1.5 months! That is very bad.
