Why not use simple biquads for the filters?
One-pole LP's for the env-detection and simple addition for the
'synthesise' filters? Just an idea.
Allthough you might be looking for the 'scientific' type vocoder and not
the 'I wanna sound cool' vocoder :)
Just a thought.
If you want the 'I wanna sound cool' one, 10 bands could be realtime!
