Sony sells a PC-hosted Playstation emulator to qualified games developers.
I think it's around $18,000 last I checked.
However, the good news is that PCs based on nVIDIA nFORCE chip set will
have the same kind of audio as the X-box has built-in, which includes up
to 256 DMA streams, and mixing to dolby digital 5.1 output. These
and PCs based on them are "imminent" according to sources, and are supposed
to be in the "affordable home PC" price segment.
