[music-dsp] recommended texts for learning C (sharc dsp oriented)

greetings & merry xmas to y'all music dsp heads,

with a good foundation in music/audio programming (max/msp) and also
assembly language for analog devices sharc dsp's, i find myself in need of
attaining good working levels of c programming for audio applications based
on the sharc platform.

currently equipped with:
'The C progamming language' (Kernighan & Ritchie), and
Sams Publishing 'Teach yourself C in 21 days'(Aitken/Jones)

i was wondering if anyone could recommend texts for embarking upon learning
C, perhaps with an engineers slant towards audio dsp?
