[music-dsp] A non-linear audio effect- does anyone know anything about this?

This sounds really interesting! I had to look in my calendar, I thought this 
might be April 1st - nope that's tomorrow...

Well, air certainly is a non-linear medium, and the acoustical effect needed 
to reach the threshold of pain is what? A couple of milliWatts! Also, most 
hifi equipment have efficiencies of less than 1%.

They specify distorsion of ~1%, which is okay I guess. But I'm guessing the 
frequency response is far from flat. Only guessing though, I know nothing of 
this stuff.
