Your are correct and mr Michael Gogins is wrong.. :)

Also of some intrest you will probably see a hit on performance the first 
time you run a .net app over the equal app of c++.. but after that you will 
see about the same speed and in some cases slightly slower some cases 
slightly faster. Eventually other then the first time it will be faster then 
c++ code.
