People intending to use their PC on stage
might think of replacing their HD by a CHIP-based IDE-device
like it is known in industrial environments.
Powering up and reboot in case of a crash is amazingly quick,
furthermore these devices are much more reliable in general
and are shock resistant too.
I have some reports about HD-problems when used in loud environments
because of bass impulses shocking the HD heads and caussing read errors
