[music-dsp] number dB relation doubt

thank you dr. daniel, this is what i needed.  i have
one more doubt.  

we know that speech recorded in real conditions from a
microphone has a constant component, called the dc
component.  the removal of the dc component is very
useful for spectrum visualization.  i remove this dc
component and then code my speech using 16 bit linear
pcm with values ranging from -1 to +1.  will this have
any advantage than choosing the range from 0 to 1?
