"...how can I use the FIR filter in the Freeverb3 open
source library..."
Freeverb3 is not a library by nature, I think but anyhow, it might be
GPLd (Gnu Public Licence) which puts some restraints on how you can use
the code, in some cases you´ll have to publish the source of your
derived works, for instance.
I suppose an easy way is to ask one of the writers of the code, probably
they can be found on the site which makes their open source product
available? Could be sourceforge. It would be cool if you could put your
project on somehow, as well!
I suppose the interest is about a combination possibjy of a Niquist
related low-pass combined with some for of interpolating filter combined
with resampling code ?
As I´ve pointed out recently: FFT (unless as discussed yesterday it
concers a fitting interval and "pure" harmonics which don´t change much
faster than the FFT interval) has major consequences for most operations
people dream of doing with them: a lot of sh*y sounding software is
prove of that theorem...
