[music-dsp] Signal mixing in frequency domain in polar form

Hi all,

I was wondering if by some chance there is a (more) efficient way to 
blend/mix two signals (in the frequency domain) whose values I get in polar 
form (amplitude & phase) other than converting to and back from the 
real+imaginary form (which is a rather expensive operation), considering 
that polar form complex numbers cannot be added directly?
