We need the attached two patches for the Debian/Ubuntu package. I hope
that these patches can be applied before the next release.

static-lib.patch allows us to build static and shared libraries. 

audacity-portmixer.patch is needed for building Audacity against
portaudio. This patch adds new functions to the API. For technical
details, you should ask the Audacity developers directly.

Besides these two patches, there is no problem from the packaging
perspective.
