Slipping Image: For Mixed Quartet and Computer-Realized Tape

Slipping Image is a work in two parts. The first part is a one-movement musical composition for flute, percussion, violin, cello, and computer-realized tape, approximately eleven minutes in duration. The second part is an essay which describes this composer's work in adapting traditional analog studio techniques to the computer music realm, the integration of these methods into his compositional style, and their subsequent influence on the creation of Slipping Image.
