Rhythm and Contour in Music and Poetry

Treats the grouping, stress, meter, and contour of lines of poetry in terms of their musical counterparts, drawing on recent linguistic and music theories.

The prerequisites for this course are C1123 or F1123 Masterpieces of Western Music or BC 1001x or 1002y Introduction to Music, or equivalent, the abiity to read musical notation, and instructor's permission.
