Douglas Geers is a composer living in New York City and Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is an Associate Professor of Music Composition and Director of the Center for Computer Music at the City University of New York, Brooklyn College Conservatory.  Until June 2009, he also teaches at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.

Geers specializes in electro-acoustic and multimedia musical works, including various combinations of live musicians, actors, video, dancers, and computer-generated sounds.
