Play of Lights

Play it! Hear an excerpt from this work. (Realaudio)

Play of Lights is an attempt to represent visual concepts such as brightness, shadow, flickering, etc. in music. All of the sounds in the piece are derived from one note played by my friend, Robert Garcia, on his (French) horn. Play of Lights was written at the Center for Computer Music at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of music in 1994-95.
