Gabriela Kumar Sharma has published a book titled "Růže k snídani" (Roses for Breakfast). The book, co-authored with Petr Koudelka, tells of Gabriela's accounts on her multiple journeys to the land of India. It is currently written in Czech and being translated into English and Hindi.

The Fromm Music Foundation at Harvard University has announced the names of fourteen composers selected to receive 2021 Fromm commissions. Among the fourteen winners are Columbia alumnus David Bird (DMA 2019), and three current DMA students, Jessie Cox, Louis Goldford, and Diana Rodriguez.
