New Summer Course: Women, Power, and Popular Music

Women, Power, and Popular Music is a new summer course being offered by Professor Ellie Hisama through the Institute for Research on Women, Gender, and Sexuality and crosslisted in Music. Through the new Alumni Summer program, alumni/ae are permitted to register for summer session courses as auditors for a reduced fee.

BBC Radio 3 will broadcast the First Night of the Proms 2019, featuring Professor Zosha Di Castri’s "Long is the Journey, Short is the Memory," at 12:31 AM BST on May 29, 2020. The performance will be up for 30 days for folks to stream if they like.

Alumni News: Dr. Mahir Cetiz (DMA '13) Appointed Assistant Professor of Composition and Music Theory at the Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music at the University of Memphis

Dr. Mahir Cetiz (DMA ’13), former Lecturer in Music and Adjunct Professor of Composition at Columbia, has accepted an offer to join the Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music at the University of Memphis as Assistant Professor of Composition and Music Theory, starting in Fall 2020.
