Laurie Spiegel's "A Harmonic Algorithm" Presented by Seth Cluett + a Conversation with Tara Rodgers

At 8 pm on Thursday, September 10th, ISSUE will stream a 360 degree video presentation of electronic music pioneer Laurie Spiegel’s piece "A Harmonic Algorithm 2011" coordinated in collaboration with composer and artist Seth Cluett.

Project For the Daughters of Harlem awarded two grants

For the Daughters of Harlem: Working in Sound has won an Action Grant from Humanities New York and a Public Outreach Grant from Columbia University’s Center for Science and Society to host a campus workshop in October 2018 for young women of color from New York’s public high schools.

Installed in Basilica’s Back Gallery, this special exhibition presents thesis works from the Sound Arts MFA program. Alice Emily Baird, Cameron Fraser, Chatori Shimizu, and Frank Spigner formally and conceptually address concepts relating to reverberation through interactive, responsive, and kinetic sculpture and installation. Continuing Effect is curated by Wave Farm.
