Dmitry Alexeev
Dr. Dmitry Alexeev is a Music Associate at Columbia University, where he teaches undergraduate and graduate piano. Dr. Alexeev is also the founder, director, and owner of Riverside Music Studios (est. 2002), located in Columbus Circle in Manhattan, and employs 15 professional teachers in flute, piano, voice, violin, cello, and guitar. Riverside Music Studios offers in home as well as studio-based lessons at its state of the art facility featuring 3 grand pianos, to over 150 New York City students between the ages of 3 and 80. Students at Riverside Music Studios and Columbia University participate in several recitals per year at the DiMenna Center and Steinway Hall in New York City.
Dr. Alexeev completed piano performance degrees at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral level at Manhattan School of Music, and also studied at St. Petersburg Conservatory. A native of St. Petersburg, Russia, Dr. Alexeev was awarded grand prizes as the Artists International Competition (NYC) and Dobrich International Piano Competition (Bulgaria). Dr. Alexeev participated in his Carnegie Hall debut in 2003, at Weill Recital Hall, and has also performed solo and chamber music throughout the United States and Europe.
