Gabrielle received a Bachelor's of Arts in Music and a Bachelor's of Arts in English Literature from Southern Methodist University in 2017. Her interests are in 20th-century art song and opera, particularly the intersection of gender and sexuality in American and English song after World War I. Further interests include music and trauma, opera staging, and music and poetry. She won the George S. Bond Poetry prize for her essay on Benjamin Britten's War Requiem, which was published in Nota Bene in 2017. Gabrielle is also a performing soprano studying with Harolyn Blackwell and enjoys bringing her love of poetry and literature to her singing. A native of the New Orleans area, Gabrielle is an avid food-lover and spends her spare time cooking and listening to music of all types.
