Imogen Wilson

PhD Student in Music Theory

Imogen Wilson is entering the PhD program in Music Theory in Fall 2019. Originally from London, she completed her undergraduate and masters by research degrees at the University of Edinburgh, where she received the Andrew Grant postgraduate scholarship. Her recent masters centered on the music in audiovisual political communications in post-war Britain. At Columbia, Imogen hopes to broaden her research away from music and politics, and she is currently interested in music and the philosophy of time, as well as composers Julius Eastman and Meredith Monk. Imogen is a keen singer and flautist, as well as a musical theatre enthusiast.
