Dr. Laura Damuth's current position is in the Office of Undergraduate Studies as Director of Undergraduate Research at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UCARE) and as the national fellowship advisor for competitive national scholarships. She also teaches classes on scholarship preparation.  She also has a courtesy appointment in the School of Music. She has taught the Introduction to Graduate Studies and the Classical Music Survey courses, and she is the initiator and lead instructor in "Music and Culture at the Court of Louis XIV," an interdisciplinary, team-taught University Honors seminar with contributions from faculty members in Architecture, History, Modern Languages, Music, Art History, and Textiles.Her research interests revolve around the Italian cantata in the 17th and 18th centuries, most specifically those of Alessandro Scarlatti.Dr. Damuth is a member of the Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR), National Collegiate Honors Council (NCHC), and the National Association of Fellowship Advisors (NAFA).Dr. Damuth holds a B.A. from Vassar College, and M.A., M.
