PhD Student in Music Theory
Makulumy Alexander-Hills is a graduate student (ABD) in Music Theory at Columbia University. His professional work in musical theater as an active pianist, arranger, and music director informs his research, which is currently focused on a dissertation project tentatively titled "'Putting it Together': Engaging Musical Theater Practitioners’ Vernacular Musical Knowledge as Music Analytical Praxis."
