PhD Student in Ethnomusicology
Noah Rosen is a PhD student in Ethnomusicology from Berkeley, California. He holds a BM in Jazz Studies/Bass Performance (2018) and an MA in Interdisciplinary Studies (2020), both from New York University. His research focuses on cross-cultural production and interethnic solidarities between peoples of the Asian and African diasporas in the United States, particularly as these discourses are mapped onto avant-garde and contemporary jazz expressions. His work explores these issues as they relate to global politics, migration, critical race theory, and anticolonialism.
