This course focuses on the digital audio fundamentals necessary to create interactive audio and video works of art. Students will learn to use Cycling74’s MAX/MSP and Jitter software. Topics covered include audio and video manipulations, data mapping, synthesis, physical models, digital signal processing, psychoacoustics, algorithmic composition, and the use of hardware controllers in an interactive composition.
