Three Columbia affiliates were represented in the New York Times yesterday in the Times's roundup of the "25 Best Classical Music Tracks of 2020": George Lewis, Ash Fure, and Tristan Perich. George Lewis is the Department's Edwin H. Case Professor of American Music; his piece 'As We May Feel' from the album "Breaking News" was featured. Ash Fure was a Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow here at Columbia from 2014-2015; Ash's piece 'Shiver Lung' from "Something to Hunt" was featured in this article. Tristan Perich, who attended Columbia College at the beginning of the 2000s and has returned multiple times to the CMC and SoundArt MFA program as a staff member and "visiting artist," was also featured for Section 6 of his album "Drift Multiply."
