Dr. Benjamin Hansberry (GSAS '17, Music Theory) has been promoted to Associate Director for Graduate Student Teaching at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Ben joined the staff at the MIT Teaching + Learning Lab after completing a Visiting Assistant Professorship at Bates College in 2018.

At MIT, he directs the Teaching Development Fellows Network, teaches in and coordinates the Kaufman Teaching Certificate Program and Grad Teaching Development Tracks, and designs and facilitates other teaching development workshops and programs aimed at advancing graduate-student teaching at MIT and preparing graduate students and postdocs for academic careers as teachers.
