The Department warmly congratulates Dr. Nandini Banerjee-Datta, who successfully defended her PhD dissertation in Music (Ethnomusicology), titled “Songs of action, songs of calm: Rabindranath Tagore and the aural fabric of Bengali life in America” on November 17, 2022. Dr. Banerjee-Datta's dissertation was advised by Professors Aaron Fox and Alessandra Ciucci, and her committee included Professors Kevin Fellezs, Alex Chávez (Notre Dame), and Sudipta Kaviraj.
