Katherine Balch (Composition) has joined the faculty of the Yale School of Music as Visiting Assistant Professor, Adjunct, of Composition. She will begin in July. Balch previously received a Master's of Music from Yale.

She received the American Academy in Rome’s 2020-2021 Elliott Carter Rome Prize Fellowship in Music Composition, and she has received honors from many institutions, including the American Academy of Arts and Letters and the Serge Koussevitzky Music Foundation in the Library of Congress.
