The Department of Music at Columbia University invites applications for Mellon Postdoctoral Teaching Fellowships.
Appointment will be at the rank of Mellon Teaching Fellow/Lecturer, for a period of two years beginning July 1, 2020.
A PhD, DMA degree, or the equivalent is required, at time of appointment. The degree must have been received between January 1, 2016 and July 1, 2020. Fellows will be expected to do research, participate in the academic life of the Department of Music, and teach one course per semester, three in Columbia’s Core Curriculum and one in the candidate’s area of specialization.
Review of applications will begin on December 1, 2019 and will continue until the position is filled.
