Professor Mariusz Kozak's article "Feeling Meter: Kinesthetic Knowledge and the Case of Recent Progressive Metal,” published in the Journal of Music Theory in 2021, won the Society for Music Theory Popular Music Interest Group Outstanding Publication Award at the joint AMS/SEM/SMT Annual Meeting in New Orleans.
