Yair Klartag a Finalist in Geneva Competition

Yair Klartag, a DMA candidate in Composition at Columbia, has been selected as one of three finalists in the prestigious Geneva Competition.  Yair was selected from among 67 competitors from around the world who submitted works for solo clarinet and orchestra.  The jury consisted of Matthias Pintscher, Unsuk Chin, Xavier Dayer, Magnus Lindberg, and Ichiro Nodaïra.  The prize-winning works will be played at a concert on Sunday, November 26, by the Chamber Orchestra of Geneva and the Orchestra of Haute École de Musique under the direction of Pierre Bleuse.
