Mahler in New York: Symposium Concert

The Gustav Mahler Society of New York, with support from the Gilbert Kaplan Foundation and the Columbia Department of Music, presents Mahler in New York, a symposium exploring the years that Gustav Mahler spent in New York (1908-11) and his activities as conductor at the Metropolitan Opera and the New York Philharmonic. The symposium will be followed by a concert of Lieder by Mahler and contemporaries.

On Friday night, November 8, two new films about Mahler by filmmaker Jason Starr will be shown at the New York Institute of Technology Theater at Broadway and 62nd Street.
